A Little Bit of Redemption
I can’t help but think about all the years I spent working to provide for my kids. There were so many moments I missed - not because I didn’t want to be there, but because I had to be somewhere else.
I missed some of the simple gifts of motherhood… sitting in the parking lot waiting on your kid, picking them up, watching them walk out the door.
And yet here I am.
Sitting. Waiting. Watching.
And I love how the Lord redeems things in our lives that we thought were lost forever.
He doesn’t always give us back the exact moments we missed. But sometimes, in His kindness, He gives us new moments that somehow touch the same tender places in our hearts.
Maybe that’s part of redemption too.
Not erasing the past.
Not pretending the hard years didn’t happen.
But reminding us that He is still writing the story.
And sometimes, redemption looks a lot like sitting in a parking lot, waiting on your adult kid.
